Quito Stop-Over
3 Days / 2 Nights - Daily Departures


Depart from Quito, the capital of Ecuador, in the morning to the Galapagos Islands. This includes all transfers, accommodations at the legendary J.W. Marriot Hotel Quito and a guided tour of Quito. If the altitude is too high (9,455 ft) another program is available that includes Guayaquil which is located at sea level. For your convenience, this program is available before and/or after your cruise.

Begin your adventure with a journey on a train ride through the Avenue of the Volcanoes, one of the 12 highest peaks in the Western Hemisphere. With breathtaking views this exciting voyage will overwhelm even the experienced traveler. Stay overnight at a small country inn and prepare to continue your adventure with a rail ride down the exhilarating "Devilīs Nose," before returning to Quito in the afternoon.

The program includes transfers, accomodations at a country inn in Riobamba, all meals, visits to special attractions and guide services.

From nature lovers to adventure seekers the "Unseen Amazon Safari" will impress all ecologically minded travelers. This program features the Kapawi Ecolodge & Reserve in the Ecuadorian amazon. Inhabited by the Achuar Indian Tribe, the region around Kapawi is has remained "lost" for centuries and only until recently had been found and contains a variety of animal species that have disappeared from other Amazon regions throughout Ecuador.

Because Kapawi Amazon lodge is so diverse, you and your travel companions have the option of what activities to take advantage of throughout the Amazon. Decide what activities best suit your personal interests and a personalized itinerary can be arranged.

All necessary transfers, accommodations at the ecolodge, choice of guided jungle activities and all meals are included, however, airfare is quoted as a separate item.

Otavalo County & Market Excursion
2 Days / 1 Night - Daily Departure


Drive to Calderon (famous for its bread dolls), north of Quito and to Peguche, where the Otavalo Indians do their weaving. After lunch continue to Cuiocha Lake and Cotacachi Village, known for their leather goods. Overnight at the La Mirage Country Inn or another traditional Hacienda in the outer Quito area.

In the morning visit the fantastic Otavalo Indian market. The Otavalo Indians are prosperous trades-people and their outdoor emporium is loaded with baskets, hats, tapestries, ponchos, leatherwork and woodcarvings. While the busiest market occurs on Saturdays, there are mini-markets each day of the week. Stop at the woodcarving center at San Antonio de Ibarra on the afternoon journey back to Quito for the end of your Ecuador travel for the day.

The program includes transportation, accommodations at the La Mirage County Inn or similar if it is occupied, visits to special attractions, guide services and meals.

Baños Cloud Forest Safari
3 Days / 2 Nights - Daily Departure


Drive south on the Avenue of the Volcanoes to Ambato. Visit the village-weaving center of the Salasaca Indians. Continue to Banos, high above the Amazon Basin. Accomodations are the lovely Luna Runtun Resort, where available activities include photography, hiking, biking, trekking, river rafting and horseback-riding. Banos is steeped in Incan and pre-Columbian history and legend. The cloud forest offers unusual opportunities for lovers of nature. The towering cliffs, pristine waterfalls, ancient thermal baths, flora and fauna create dramatic scenes for photography.

The program includes transportation, accommodations at the exquisite Luna Runtun Resort, a choice of activities at the resort and all meals.

Lima, Cuzco & Machu Picchu, Peru
5 Days /4 Nights - Daily Departures


Fly to Lima and spend one night at the coastal JW Marriott Hotel before flying to Cuzco, once the capital city and religious center of the Incan Empire which is, the gateway to Machu Picchu. A guided tour of Cuzco will highlight its fascinating Incan and Spanish treasures as well as local ruins. Overnight at the Hotel Libertador or Monasterio

Early in the morning, begin your rail adventure to- Machu Picchu. Take a guided Peru tour of the ancient citadel, which remained hidden for hundreds of years until accidentally discovered in 1912. Lunch is included at Machu Picchu Sanctuary lodge which has an array of choices in a buffet style lunch. Spend an overnight at the Hotel Machu Picchu Sanctuary lodge or Machu Picchu Pueblo. After a morning of further exploration of the ruins, return to Cuzco by afternoon train where you will enjoy a wonderful show then overnight again in Cuzco Peru. The next morning, fly to Lima for a continuation of your adventure.

The program includes all transfers, accomodations at a deluxe hotel in Lima (1 night), Cuzco (2 nights) and Machu Picchu (1 night), guided sightseeing tours in Cuzco and Machu Picchu, round-trip train tickets, breakfast daily at the hotel´s restaurant and lunch at Machu Picchu. Air transportation is not included.
